Products & Services
All of my packages include antental support, birth attendance and postpartum support.
Your previous birth experience will guide which package may be best for you.
Antental sessions cover off a range of topics, including:
- Education on birth physiology
What is happening and why
What supports physiological birth and what detracts from it
- Variations of normal
The more births I attend, the larger the scope of normal becomes. Women are not robots. Each woman and baby are unique, and so is their birth process. I aim to normalise normal so that you are mentally prepared for when birth doesn't unfold in a textbook fashion (it rarely does),
- Complications and emergencies and what you could do in these situations.
We talk through all the "what ifs", so that you understand what complications look like should they arise, and what you might choose to do in each situation.
We work through any fears you and your partner have. We look at where this fear is coming from, what the liklihood is of the event occuring, what can be done to mitigate it, and what happens if it does occur.
- Unpacking routine prenatal care
Most of my clients do not opt in to any routine prenatal care, however should you wish to explore what testing is available to you, it is always your decision and I am happy to provide you with information, as well as my personal perspective on any routine prenatal test you are considering.
I love teaching women how to palpate their own bellies and measure their fundal height. This isn't done for any medical or clinical reason, i just think it is a lovely way to tune in to your body and your baby
- The intensity of birth
We delve into your expectations and perceptions on the intensity of birth
How you handle physically and emotionally intense situations
Changing your mindset around pain - surrending to it rather than avoiding, fighting or resiting
- Unpacking previous births - including when you were born
Understanding why whatever happened, happened
Seperating fact from story
Understanding the domino effect of intervention and interruption
- Logistics
How to get a birth certificate
Birth supplies and necessities
Picking and preparing your birth team and your space
The number of appointments in your package will determine how much of this content we will be able to cover.
In person birth attendance is included in all of my packages.
